Three themes keep emerging in the longevity discus Three themes keep emerging in the longevity discussion:→ Muscle→ Mitochondria→ MovementThe people who age best don’t just “exercise.”They train systems.Muscle is not only strength. It is a metabolic organ that influences glucose regulation, inflammation and mitochondrial health. And mitochondria? They are the energy engines inside our cells. They influence how we think, recover, perform and age.🎾 Tennis is a sport that reminds us that movement is never just movement.🤸Tennis is coordination.⚡️ Reaction.💥 Power.🧠 Focus.💡 Interestingly, tennis players have been shown to gain an average of 9.7 additional years of life expectancy. More than any other sport studied. At EpigenEdit, we no longer think in categories like “cardio,” “strength,” or “brain health.”We think in connections.→ Muscle feeds mitochondria→ Mitochondria fuel the brain→ The brain drives resilience and performanceIt is one interconnected system. This is why we are so interested in targeted longevity interventions.→ Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) to support oxygen delivery and mitochondrial function→ Red light therapy to support cellular energy production and recoveryIf we want to change how we age, we need to stop thinking in isolated parts.Longevity is systems biology in motion. ✨*Copenhagen City Heart Study, British Journal of Sports Medicine#Longevity #HBOT #Mitochondria #MuscleHealth #Movement #HealthyAgeing #Biohacking #EpigenEdit #Tennis #Wellness
“I always treat my patients and clients the way I “I always treat my patients and clients the way I would want to be treated.”👇That simple philosophy has shaped almost everything Dr. Katrin Dreissigacker has built throughout her medical career and what guides us at EpigenEdit. In her recent conversation with Nina Patrick on Nina’s Notes, Katrin spoke about longevity, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), mitochondrial health, reinvention, and why you cannot outsmart a bad lifestyle.Katrin also shares how HBOT and oxygen helped reverse her biological age markers. ✨If you’re curious, including what Katrin learned from Grey’s Anatomy and the misconceptions around HBOT chambers, listen via the link in bio.Thank you Nina Patrick for such an engaging conversation. 🎙️ Podcast https://www.ninasnotes.xyz/p/180-interview-reversing-biological?utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=webYouTube https://youtu.be/iayEwJVqvvk?si=OLpPSyPkStKa4hqv#NinasNotes #Longevity #HBOT
We’ve been accepted into the Swiss Ladies Drive Fo We’ve been accepted into the Swiss Ladies Drive Founder Academy, selected from over 80 applications. ✨We are very excited to be part of this group. Why does this mean so much to us?Because this Academy represents exactly what entrepreneurship truly needs:Women who build.Who think independently.Who strengthen each other.Who don’t just talk but take action. And for us, as founders in our 50s, there’s something more:Curiosity has no expiration date. Growth doesn’t either. And ambition certainly doesn’t.After many years in business, we believe more than ever that real development requires new perspectives, intelligent spaces and people who don’t just validate you, but push you further. As a longevity and health-tech startup, we’re looking forward to strong conversations, fresh perspectives and real founder momentum.A heartfelt thank you to @sandrastellatriebl and the entire @ladiesdrive team for this platform, this energy, and this spirit. ✨#LadiesDrive #FounderAcademy #Longevity #Epigenedit #Switzerland
One of the most common misconceptions we hear abou One of the most common misconceptions we hear about Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is that it's about "more oxygen".It's not. It's about how oxygen behaves under pressure, how it dissolves into plasma, and how it's utilised by your body.Hyperbaric medicine dates back to 1662, when Nathaniel Henshaw first described the concept. The clinical foundation was established in the 1950s by Dutch surgeon Dr. Ite Boerema.Dr. Katrin Dreissigacker first encountered HBOT working with burn patients in hospital settings, where it was used to support wound healing.Decades later, the science began to shift to longevity. In 2020, research led by Shai Efrati found that a structured HBOT protocol increased telomere length by up to 38% in older adults. That number changed how I think about oxygen entirely. In Dr. Katrin Dreissigackers article for @newzapiens she shares more insights and explains how HBOT has helped her achieve biological age markers of someone closer to their 40s than to their 50s.She also shares five things she’d tell anyone considering HBOT, one of which has nothing to do with oxygen. You can read the full article here: https://newzapiens.com/magazine/hyperbaric-oxygen-therapy-and-longevity-what-the-science-actually-showsThank you @karoldomagalski and Kama Woynarska for inviting Dr. Katrin Dreissigacker to contribute. We respect the way you approach longevity topics, focusing on substance and evidence rather than noise. #NewZapiens #HBOT #Longevity #HyperbaricOxygen Therapy #EpigenEdit
